At the morning session, Mr Mark Penrose, Chair of Morrab Library, Penzance, will give an insight into the ” Morrab Library” celebrating 200 years this year, and,
At the afternoon session, unfortunately Dr Alan M Kent,cannot now attend. We are very pleased indeed that our Mr Dick Richards, has kindly agreed to Talk on “Commonwealth War Graves Commission – its history and legacy”.
Come along to hear two most interesting Talks in an informal and welcoming Cornish atmosphere !

133rd Anniversary Dining Event -Luncheon at The Imperial Hotel, 61-66 Russell Square, London WC1B 5BB in the Tudor Room. 12pm for 1pm
Over the past two years the Event has been such a success, we are continuing the Luncheon in 2019. This Event replaces our traditional Annual Dinner, in response to requests from several members who find it challenging to be out late at night and would prefer a lunchtime gathering.
The Hotel is situated overlooking Russell Square. From Russell Square Tube Station, turn left onto Russell Square and Hotel approx. 150 yards on the left. The main reception is through an archway to a courtyard. Also there is a car park in this area.
Russell Square Underground Station is a 2 minute walk away.

Rosyer is the bardic name of one of the former members of the City Lit., Cornish Society and a lecture is given every year in his memory.

This is the first time the two London Cornish clubs have come together for a social occasion. During Saturday afternoon, members of the LCRFC will be taking to the river for their first experience of gig rowing. After some careful coaching, crew members will then be chosen to race against a crack team from LCPGC. Following the racing there will be a social get-together with drinks, pasties and music.
It will be a great “fun” afternoon so come along !

Kathy’s Talk will be “Turning your Tree into a Tale – Writing up Family History” and will commence at 10.45 am.
After the lunch break of Cornish Pasties, Saffron Cake (sent up from Cornwall!) and Tea/Coffee, the Afternoon Session will commence at 2.00 pm.
For the Afternoon Session, we are also delighted to welcome back Dr Colin Chapman.
His Talk is entitled “Was your Ancestor a Criminal ?”

The London Cornish Association are very sad to hear the news of Mary’s passing. She was a stalwart member and attended most events around the country. A true Cornish maid.
