LCA Lunch at Richmond followed by Afternoon with LC Pilot Gig on Saturday,13th July 2019 @ Slug & Lettuce Restaurant

Come and join us for a lovely afternoon in Richmond !

Lunch at 12.15 pm at the Slug & Lettuce Restaurant, followed from 2.30 pm at the LC Pilot Gig Assn. Clubhouse a few yards away.

More food, Cornish of course, and drinks at the Clubhouse amongst St Piran’s flags and Gigs.

LCA Lunch at Penderel’s Oak, Holborn followed by Rosyer Lecture on Saturday 20th July 2019 at City Lit. @ Penderel's Oak Pub

The LCA will meet for lunch at the Penderel’s Oak Pub, High Holborn, at 12.00pm on Saturday 20th July 2019.
After lunch, the Rosyer Lecture, will be held at the City Lit in 1-10 Keeley Street, WC2B 4BA (020 7831 7831) – 2.30pm for 3.00pm – which is an 8 minute walk (just under 700 yards) from Penderel’s Oak. Admission is free of charge.

Subject: “Sir Humphry Davy”

Rosyer is the bardic name of one of the former members of the City Lit., Cornish Society and a lecture is given every year in his memory.

It would help to know numbers attending so that we can book tables at Penderel’s Oak, and to advise our member at City Lit. Hilary Paddon.

Family History Day – Saturday 5th October 2019 @ Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church

We are delighted to welcome Ms Kathy Chater to the second of our Family History Days of the year.

Kathy’s Talk will be “Turning your Tree into a Tale – Writing up Family History” and will commence at 10.45 am.

After the lunch break of Cornish Pasties, Saffron Cake (sent up from Cornwall!) and Tea/Coffee, the Afternoon Session will commence at 2.00 pm.    This Session’s Speaker to be confirmed.
