We are delighted to announce a Lecture on Cornish Folk Dance by Dr Merv and Alison Davey.

The story of Folk Dance in Cornwall, from its medieval roots, through the 19th Century folklorists, the activity of the Celtic revivalists and onto the present day.

In celebration of St Piran’s Day, it has been decided that a good venue would be to go to The Imperial Hotel, 61-66 Russell Square, London WC1B 5BB, in very comfortable surroundings.

The nearest Tube is Russell Square(Piccadilly Line) is a 2 minute walk away.  Train Stations a short walk away are King’s Cross, Euston and St Pancras.

.The Cost is £6.70 for CreamTea with Clotted Cream !

133rd Anniversary Dining Event -Luncheon at The Imperial Hotel, 61-66 Russell Square, London WC1B 5BB in the Tudor Room.   12pm for 1pm

Over the past two years the Event has been such a success, we are continuing the Luncheon in 2019.  This Event replaces our traditional Annual Dinner, in response to requests from several members who find it challenging to be out late at night and would prefer a lunchtime gathering.

The Hotel is situated overlooking Russell Square. From Russell Square Tube Station, turn left onto Russell Square and Hotel approx. 150 yards on the left. The main reception is through an archway to a courtyard. Also there is a car park in this area.
Russell Square Underground Station is a 2 minute walk away.

Family History Day(incorporating the AGM and Trelawny Lecture) 13th April 2019 @ Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church

We are delighted to have for our Trelawny Lecture:

Paula Martin, who is CEO Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust who will speak about The Trust and the work of the Air Ambulance.

During the lunch break, the Annual General Meeting for members will take place.

We have pleasure in welcoming for the Afternoon Session Speaker Dr Alan Kent, the well known author.   His Talk is entitled ” The Topsy Turvy World of Cornish Festivals” – talking about Obby Oss, Colperra on the Lizard, Flora Day, the Black Prince Flower Boat Procession, Tunes in the Dunes, Saints Days, tea treats, etc.

Please come along to enjoy a truly interesting and informative day in friendly company!
